Purpose
The T-STEM program is designed to increase student achievement by engaging students through innovative science and math instructional techniques. The academy is also intended to act as a demonstration sites to improve math and science teaching and learning statewide. The academy at the middle school and high school will provide students with outstanding science and math instruction as part of a rigorous, well—rounded education that integrates technology across the curriculum. This rigorous, innovative and college-focused program involves a high degree of interactive involvement, energized classroom environments, and a small school setting that emphasizes quality relationships between students and teachers to create an optimal environment for success.
